Audible Ticking?
Sometimes I will be sitting down at work and have my arm stretched out on my desk and all the sudden clear as day I can hear strong solid ticking coming from my LV in waves. Funny thing is when I go to put it up to my ear its barely audible. Anyone else here experience that?

Yeah, it's common. You "hear" 2 ways. One is when sound waves directly hit your eardrum (Tympanic Membrane) and the other is conducted via bone and nerves. That's why Dr.s put tuning forks on your mastoid (bump behind and below your ear.) If you can't hear the tuning fork, you have a conduction hearing loss. Sometimes when you hold certain boby parts a certain way, the moon, the stars and the earth align and you have some unusual conductive hearing.

Wow. Either my hearing is going or you guys have the ears of a Fennic Fox. The only time I can hear my SD is when I stick my arm under my pillow and that 3135 starts singing its siren's song.

Are you sure the ticking is coming from your watch?

I noted the same thing, but actually on all the Rolex watches I have owned having the Cal. 3135 (in my case: DJ, Sub Date and SD). It somehow seems to have a clearer resonance.
