Daytona paul newman

So what is the difference between PN daytona and vintage daytona? Can minor appearance difference justify the hefty price tag?

What differentiates older daytonas from the new ones. I know that daytona tend to increase in price so looking only from investment point of view, is daytona a better investment than other rolex models?

Long story short, should a person choose a vintage or modern rolex daytona?

This topic may sound dumb to some of you guys and i hope you guys wouldnt mind.
Thank you for your responses.

PN refers to a specific dial, not very common and VERY sought after, hence the premium in price. As far as new vs pre-loved, it comes down to personal taste.

Oh, and there are no dumb topics/questions!

This is true as long as your post doesn't start with: "is it safe," or "my AD told me a price increase is coming."

the PN dial is rare I think because at the time they did not sell well... so not too many were made. when paul newman wore it, he shot the model into fame. they are very pricy, I would not personally buy one for daily use. but I am not a millionaire yet

I am not an expert at all I just perhaps mistakenly think the current Daytona is derived the early/prototype 38.6 mm Yacht-Master Chronograph. PN is smaller like 37

Daytona paul newman

Pretty much the dial - this is a good friend of mines PN Daytona last time I was in New Orleans. He wore it daily for many years until recently. It was bought brand new in New Orleans - and he still has all the original boxes etc...
