JV or Nubuck Alligator

Are these the same thing?

Looking for a Nubuck Gator. I think they are called JVs.

Also any non OEM manufactures that aremaking them.

They're the same thing.

Actually its not really a gator strap ... it is a specially treated calf leather that has a soft velvety texture it is also known as (JV) Jules Verne strap .. and IMHO oem JV is the best by far ....
The good thing about Nubuck/JV is that it ages really well and develops a nice golden patina my strap in this photo i have had for a couple of years now and it looks now better than the day i bought it
