For what you've outlined, I'd say the Omega. Cool, iconic tool-watch. Funky design, real wrist presence and not so common.

I prefer the Deepsea but I'd listen to what TonyD and Osamu said.

I have seen that orange hand on a number of inferior brands. I like omega but I wouldn't choose that one over a Rolex. I must say paired with the tattoos the Rolex looks amazing- the other competes and fails - as far as more unique who cares ones a Rolex and the other is an omega

The DSSD is much more versatile, but the ploprof is a lot more interesting. Especially if you want a 'monster diver'. The DSSD while amazing looks like giant sub. The ploprof looks like a tool built for a purpose.

One thing that never gets old? The snobbish replies whenever someone brings up Rolex and Omega in the same sentence.

Can't go wrong with either.

Appreciate this post, and completely agree. For the op's use the PP is the watch to get. The mesh is fantastic and balances the watch well. the watch is very big but because it's size stays planted right on top-center of the wrist, the same as my Deepsea which I find the most comfy watch I've worn. My Sub and GMT2 seem to gravitate toward the top of my wrist and rub my wrist bone.

The PP is weird looking and garish, but it's a 110% tool cool. It can take a beating and look just as good the next day. I love it and would love to own one but I can't get 'em all.

Good job deciding on the PP, it will make those occasional uses much more interesting and a switch from the everyday typical watch.

I like the crazy design of the Omega but for wearability I would say DSSD even though I find both to be awkward. If it was me I would go for a 47mm Submersible PAM. Way more comfortable IMO. A 389, titanium on rubber is super comfortable.

I really don't like the DSSD and the PP is awesome IMO.
