Snakes, Turtles, and Lizards -- SCUBA and SeaDwellers

I didn't get a thread posted yesterday evening because it was a busy day. We did have some GREAT diving in Grand Cayman again though. I hope you don't mind me sharing our trip with you.........

One thing of note......I know to many it might seem that I modified this SD so that it would just "look cool", and although that is a bi-product....there was some thought that went into the modification. The reason I had the Yachtmaster hands installed was for greater visibility of the hour/minute hand, but also for the red second-hand. As a diver goes deeper in the ocean, the reds fade and look more black. This is a good reason to have the red-second hand because at depth, I am not as interested in knowing the seconds, but knowing the elapsed minutes is obviously important. Closer to the surface, the red second-hand reappears as the reds become more apparent in the ocean. I need to watch the seconds tick by so that I can time my safety stops. Anyways, I think this phenomenon is interesting.

On to the pictures........

An ABSOLUTELY fantastic day topside......It looks like we will have perfect conditions for diving today.

A 3-foot Iguana sleepily hanging-out in a tree

Not exactly a snake.....but a Spotted Eel to start the dive.

Sea Anemone

Some soft Coral

My Beautiful Wife

A nice little Turtle

Turtle in the background -- SeaDweller doing its job. Note how the Red Yachtmaster second-hand disappears at depth (We are at ~25m)

How about some MACRO with a red-lipped blenny??

Off-gassing at 7m and the red second-hand reappears.

Poisonous Bristle Worm
