Women wearing men's watches?

So I just bought a pam 112 while my explorer 2 is getting serviced and now my wife wants a new watch too, but she doesn't like any of the women's watches. Have her convinced to "share" the next one. I have been wanting a sub no date on NATO strap for years and she really likes the look and it being a strap we can both wear it. She is small 5' 2" 120 what are thoughts on women and bigger watches?

I like it just as much as seeing an attractive female driving a big truck... A LOT.

I'm about her size and I love wearing my husband's Datejust II (41mm).

For Rolex I find anything larger than the 31mm looks bulky on my gf's wrist, however lots of thinner cased dress watches I think would look fine on her up to about 36mm. I have seen lots of women wearing explorers and its their own taste but I personally don't enjoy it.

Since she doesn't like any of the womens models, sure go for it Lots of women are wearing men's models these days. The fact that it will be on a NATO is good, because it won't be too lose and flopping around on her wrist. I think large watches look great on some women and not so great on others. I just don't care for it if the lugs are hanging way over the wrist and the watch is worn too loose & flopping around all over the place. That's just me though :/
Either way, it is definitely not strange to see a lady wearing a men's sized model Rolex these days. If she's comfortable with it and loves the look, then it's time to enjoy that Sub We ladies are lucky that men's watches are considered unisex today

Our Sub Date on my wrist ;) I haven't been brave enough to wear it yet, but hopefully soon. I'm still only wearing my 31mm DJ. Waiting on a 36mm DJ that I'll hopefully be comfortable to wear. More watches for the husband, means more for me as his watches fit me close enough

Women wearing men's watches?

My wife wears a 40mm Damasko and she has a 5... 5.5 inch wrist. She's about 5'8 and 125.

My wife was rockin my 16610 for a while. Looked good, and she's tiny. She tried on my 116610 and it looked kind of ridiculous. A lot of her girl friends wear 36mm datejusts which look great on women IMO. But the sub would be a great choice especially since you could share.

I've seen women wearing the DSSD and YM2 and even both of those looked good, women tend to wear their watches a little loose like bangles so most can get away with 40mm.

A hot woman can get away with more, but I think more petite watches look better. My .02c.

My wife wears one of my watches and has been every day for 3 years now. A word of caution......this will likely not be a watch to share. It will be her watch, and that's ok. In fact, it's awesome, because it just means that you have a really cool lady.

I think 40mm is probably the largest without looking too big. Daytonas, subs and dj's on women look great IMO.

There is no such thing as a women's watch or a men's watch. Think about it. We've moved on from that kind of thinking. We have female pilots, female doktors, female brick layers, you name it. Yet you still want them to wear a dress and a tiny simple watch?

It's all in the mind!

Chaps

Never ever try to predict what your wife / girlfriend wants. Hopefully they want you, so at least be grateful for that.

I have bought a 39mm Rolex, a 16610 Sub and a Freccione Explorer 2 in the last 14 months and I thought it best to ease off for a while.

I then had a brain wave, why not buy a Daytona because they seem to be popular with modern ladies and because Mrs Mick and I have a similar wrist size ( I am 6.75") she could wear it floppy and I could wear it tight.

I suggested this to her and she moaned like hell saying that wearing a Daytona would make her look like a butch lesbian.

She is now stomping around the local AD looking for a Ladies Datejust, bejewelled with diamonds and guess what mug will be paying for it.

This is dangerous territory chaps.

Regards

Mick

My better half wears my GMTIIc every day - I like the GMT but it looks better on her because of the PCL's.

I think daytona/subs/gmt's/explorer's(36/39mm)/milgauss looks cool on women but 40mm would be the limit for me.

In fact I think a Daytona looks better on a woman anyway.

I think it works 1000%

My wife has a mid size 31mm DJ with MOP diamond marker dial. It's very elegant and she wears it every day, dress up or dress down.

However, if she ever said she wanted a GMT, Sub, Daytona, YM, Explorer for dressing down, I'd be estatic. I think it's very stylish for a chick in jeans / yoga pants etc.. to be wearing a 36-40mm mens Rolex.

My only rule would be that she should have a ladies watch for those occassions where she really needs to get dressed up.

It's fine... but does stick out, IMO. I'd rather notice a woman's face before her watch. Willing to bet it's a fad and will trend another direction down the line.
