Feedback on Gemnation
Hi guys
Wanted to share my experience with http://www.gemnation.com I bought a Frederique Constant Worldtimer from them and sure it was cheaper compared to the AD's. But, the communication was good until I payed. After that things got quite slow. Upon receiving the watch I noticed that the certificate wasn't stamped. Maybe its common knowledge that Gemnation is not an AD and therefore aren't allowed to fill out the certificate but I feel thats something you either write on the webpage or inform the customers. After wearing the watch for an hour I noticed that it had stopped. I figured it needed to be fully wound so I did it. Still it stopped again... At this point I notified a sales representative at gemination buy the name of Alex. The reply was that I had to notice that this watch had a mechanical movement and had to be fully wound and worn in order to work properly. I replied that I would put it in the winder for a few days and get back. Still in the winder it stopped. Wearing it it would loose time buy stopping for a few minutes and a shake would sometimes start it and other times I needed to open and close the keyless works. This time I tried the AD to use the guarantee but they informed me that it wasn't valid without proper paperwork. After all the watch COULD have been stolen or what not. I again contacted Alex and asked why the papers weren't signed and then he explained that they weren't allowed and thats why I got the watch cheaper. He assured me that the watch wasn't stolen and they was in the business caring for there customers so the weren't selling anything of that kind. Yeah sure but if customer satisfaction is important the company should deal with products not working, am I wrong? I emailed several times and no answer. After couple of weeks they replied that they had staff issues and were sorry. They needed me to explain the hole process AGAIN in order to help med. But I only replied the same email so they already had all the mail conversation so why not just scroll down and read? Anyway I recommend staying away. Specially with Rolex cuz no one in Sweden except the AD's accept handling a Rolex since they can't get any spare parts So now I'm stuck with a not working new watch from Gemnation. Thanks for that! |
