20% off list price, current list? If its current would you mind PM'ing me the AD and contact? Thx

Who said you can't make $$ on a Rolex? Mine lists over $10,000 CDN now. Glad I bought 3 plus years ago.

20% off list is actually pretty good if local. I would try for a couple more % off though.

Most times it is cheaper & better deals to find south of the border. I would have saved money had I bought my Datejust in the US but I'm glad I got in at home. Was my 1st. :-)

Why would anyone from the U.S. travel to Canada to make a purchase when a) the price is already higher even when converted back to USD; and b) the 13% tax is not refundable?

There are better deals to be had within the U.S.

Well, don't know how it is on the East Coast of Canada, but over on the Westcoast here, most AD's will offer anywhere from 10% to 25% off the MSRP. Some of my friends in Toronto advised they can get this level of discounts as well.

Since the Canadian dollar is around $0.79 for $1.00 US, you guys are already ahead of the game. It had been stated on this Forum that many US AD's offer 0% to 10% off the MSRP. So, if you do the math, American purchasers will come out on top at his moment. Regardless of what taxes you pay on Canadian purchases.

When the 11460 came out I was quoted 6950$ out the door tax in CDN$. It looks like the new msrp is almost 9k now. Even with a discount it would be at least 2k more in a year span

I can't imagine any us price increase, I think much of this reflects the weakness in CDN currency...

The uSD sales at current prices already equates to higher sales revenue due to the strength of USD globally...

In fact, there was some question at Omega as to whether there would be a price decrease...

When the Usd is 15% stronger against the euro/aus/CDN... And you only raise prices by 8% in the other markets , Americans are still paying more ...

This is the second currency related price adjustment (if it has happened). There was another one within the past year. So combined, it is quite a significant jump (again, if this one has happened).

According to my AD the 7-8% is a Rolex Factory increase that will be seen world wide but another increase as much as an additional 12% could be seen to offset the Canadian dollar.
I don't believe it myself but who knows these days

Exactly, discounts are the same, I am debating picking up a DJ2 two tone before Monday, My AD will offer a 21% discount on cash. If I was from the US add another 20% savings in currency exchange and it is a no brainer if you are close to the border

I would expect ADs to price the increase in to thier discounts (i.e. reduced discount on current list).

So the increase is 7% in Canada ONLY. Effective Monday 16/3/2015.

US is not affected on this one. It is a correction for the weak CND.

Yes. This was last May when Rolex increased their prices. This increase is currency related and has nothing to do with the company itself.

Not that bad. With HST and if no discount, it's still under $10K.
Thanks.
