Hi all,

I was wondering if somebody could advise me on how to set the hands on a rolex Bubbleback?

I have gently turned the crown counter-clockwise away from the thread where it then pops into a position that allows me to wind it up. How many winds in generally sufficient?

Should I then be able to set the hands at this point or does it need pulling out further still? If not, I think I've got a problem.

I'm way too scared to even attempt at this point incase I damage it.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Wind it around 40 times, then pull the crown out one more click to set the hands to the correct time.

It is generally very easy to feel the "slip" in the barrel on these watches. You won't get any more wind once it starts to slip so just wind it slightly further after you feel the slip...and then wear it.
