Insert is fake, as stated above.
Dial appear like an early tritium service replacement dial. Do the hands glow?" |

I agree on the bezel. That stood right out.
I'll have to check back on the hands because it has been in the dark but they do not seem glow right now. Would it be possible for the date to be misaligned, as it is, if it is the original correct movement? |

The hands were replaced at some point, or refinished.

Just an update on this thread to explain why i was asking...
I bought above 1675 on whim while traveling. The seller had an impressive store, and seemed very knowledgable. Once I got it home is when I noticed things didn't look right, and it didn't even look as nice as in the store. I was told it was all original. 100%. i knew the hands had to have been replaced though, but when I got home i realized the insert was aftermarket and some other parts were at best not period correct. I was able to get my money back luckily. I just didn't want to post to much online until I did. Even now I'm not going to trash the seller on a forum because he was nice enough to refund my money without any problem. Lesson learned is do not buy vintage spur of the moment. Stupid decision on my part but luckily it worked out. |
