Are there any vintage sellers that offer a payment plan?

Just wondering...seems like a good way to keep people on the hook for a new one as you pay the last one off

That would get dangerous for a lot of people here. I know I'd be in trouble for sure.

There's a rule of thumb with these things.
Don't buy what you can't easily immediately afford.

Great question although I've never been aware of one. Would be nice to spread out some of those payments, especially on the pricier models.

There are one or two in Hong Kong. I try to avoid them.

Hm. Maybe that is a great business concept? Start lending people money so they can buy vintage Rolex watches and pay 23% intrest rate.

Seriously - that would be good business - because the watch as loan securing will be good if the loan is not paid.

The legal version of a heroin dealer.

Though I would be concerned the collateral would be damaged or unrecoverable if someone defaulted.

Solved by increasing the interest rate from 23% to 37%.

anyhow, good luck w/ your vintage rolex hunt....it took me a long while to find the perfect watch and be comfortable w/ pulling trigger, so my only unsolicited advice is: njoy the hunt and dont let the banks/urself turn u into a (bigger) debt-slave.....

Yeah, good luck in recovering a watch that was used as collateral.

Can't see the problem. Other items e.g. house and cars are used such, so why not a watch. Heck - some people also insure their watches.

Pretty tough to move and hide a house. Can't transfer a car title with a lien on it. Pawn a watch once your behind on, or can't make, the payments?.....10 minutes and done.
