I have seen DC powered winders that are made for use inside a safe. I saw one that had a spot for only one watch, and no dust cover made specifically for safe use.

I bought a two watch winder at Brookstone in the mall. They sell the two watch winder in the retail stores, but also have a one watch and a four watch winder available through the catalog or online. The two watch model is AC only and runs CW for a hour, stops for three hours, and then runs CCW for an hour. This cycle is repeated as long as it remains on. It is reasonable quality for the $150 it costs. My GMT II and my wifes DJ seems to like it.

Here is a link to the winders at Brookstone:

I really should have ordered the four watch winder for an extra $50, but the wife said that would encourage me to fill it with more watches. Of course it would, but they don't all have to be Rolexes. I have an Invicta Pro Diver automatic with the Miyota 21 jewel caliber which needs winding too. I was so impressed with the quality of this watch (especially for the price) that a bought a Day/Date bilingual model for my brother in law in Mexico.
