My lovely wife surprised me with this a few weeks ago. It has become an everyday for now. We had both admired this one on our last few visits to our longtime local AD. I like the distressed leather with the deployment clasp, but it's really hot here now. The fabric band is nice also. I am trying the Isofrane and is great so far. Didn't want the stainless bracelet, the TT subs fill that niche. I am enjoying the look and feel of this one.

Kinda regret getting the bracelet version instead of the leather strap.
Unused since day 1, using only NATO strap now. After getting it, kinda like the leather strap instead. :( |

Get a pledge membership here and sell it. You'll have enough to buy the leather and clasp, with some money to spare.

I absolutely agree! Great looking watch .... That leather strap with end links and a nice clasp would have been the, "fit and finish" that you would want to see from "Rolex" and "Tudor". Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I much prefer it without any endlinks. Leather, especially distressed leather, and fitted endlinks don't work for me at all.

Hey, are you still wearing your THC much, Adam? How do you find the bracelet for the BB? The one gripe I have about it is not enough fine adjustment, especially because of the fluctuating size of my wrist here in HK, even over the course of a day, let alone over the course of the different seasons. What's your favourite strap/bracelet to pair with the BB? Thanks

Hey Jake,
Yes, still wearing the THC daily, rotated with the BB. They both have the same bracelet, and I have them on the same setting. Maybe a little on the loose side, but better than tight, especially in this weather, as you mention. I'm good with the bracelets until around November, when I'll switch to leather for the BB. The Ranger is currently with the missus, as the bracelet can be got down to 5.5inches with the clasp centred. have a great week |

Right on...Thanks, Adam.
Glad to hear that you're still enjoying the THC. The blue one's been squealing at me every morning, through the window of the Tai Hing boutique as I walk to the shop, and it's getting more and more difficult to ignore its calls.

I got mine NIB for exactly 25k. Blue should be available for that price now, I think. Give it a try!

Thanks all |

I second this

And on the forums they only seem to be available for an hour or two before they get snapped up. If anyone knows of any place where one can find one less then the AD that would be great. Or if there are any aftermarket bracelets that are on par? Thanks, Northern

Believe it or not I found one!
Guess all i needed to do was ask someone selling it on a watch... I gotta tell you, this is a very weird piece on the forums. People are always piecing out their black bay kits and making great money back. Wonder if it's because the watch is available for retail with so many options to begin with. |

I'll be switching back to nato after today for when I wear my watch to work. Until I can find a steel bracelet.

So far I've worn my watch on the bracelet, a Bonetto Cinturini rubber strap and an Isofrane. Currently have the bracelet back on as I wanted a dressier look for a dinner party this past weekend. What I haven't tried yet is the fabric strap that came with the watch. It doesn't seem to be a quality strap and I'm just wondering how it wears and whether or not it makes the watch top heavy.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy an aftermarket leather strap for the black bay?

From what I've read, aftermarket straps could be higher quality than the OEM strap. I would like something close to the look but without a $300 to $400 price tag. I always buy mine with steel bracelets and outsource the perfect strap.

Quite a good new BB Red week-on-the-wrist review on Hodinkee. A bit puffy, of course (being Hodinkee), but worth reading. http://www.hodinkee.com/blog/the-tud...eference-7922r

Nice looking leather straps. I'm curious to know how the blue fabric strap that comes with the watch wears. Any top heaviness?
