The pearl fell off my Hulk!

I was walking back into my house and I hit the corner of the door with my watch...I was afraid to look down...I knew for sure it wasn't going to be pretty...The Pearl was completely missing....I sent it back to RSC and waiting their response....amazingly enough the bezel took the hit easy!!!!...not a single scratch...

From that first picture, the pearl less look isn't all that bad! Maybe it's worse in person. Let us know if they can simply press another pearl back in or if the whole bezel needs to be replaced (and how much it costs!).

Yes, please keep us posted. Hopefully they won't have replace the whole bezel since I've read somewhere on here that the ceramic bezel is pretty pricey.

I will def follow up....I actually have the watch insured with Jewelers Mutual, but haven't told them about the damage yet. Do you think I should? I have a zero deductible...Anyone have experience with them?

Mine looked the same after I hit a door knob a few weeks ago, you cant just press another pearl from Rolex, had to replace the whole ceramic bezel for $650 including labor.

Sorry to hear that. The pearl always seems to be the most delicate part of the bezel: aluminum or ceramic. Hope you get her back soon.

If it costs a lot to get fixed and you don't need the lume in the pip, I'd be tempted to leave as is. I don't think it looks that bad.

At this point Rolex should be able to get rid of the pearl altogether and use a recessed lume plot. My idea would be a lume triangle covered by a sapphire triangle recessed into the bezel, no more knocking off pips, and don't even say the sapphire can get broken....how many millions of watches have sapphire crystals with no issues in daily wear.

My ceramic models have taken beatings and are ok, the SS insert one knocked off easy.

That used to be the case but apparently now Rolex has a bezel pearl replacement tool for the ceramic models, I believe member Ironstark mentioned it in a previous post in the tech subsection.

I don't know, might just want to buy a second watch to wear when the Hulk needs to go in for repair. Might as well get two new watches, since more than one might occasionally have to go in for repair at the same time. Heck, I say get three new watches just to be safe....

I would be getting the super glue out if the the pearl was otherwise OK. That is a joke even by Rolex standards having to replace the bezel when one small component has popped off.

They call that a luminous capsule. Had mine replaced just recently and it costed me around US$64 from the RSC. Had to leave the watch for almost 2 weeks, since they still had to inquire if the whole bezel will be replaced or just that missing luminous capsule.

Replacing the bezel, mine is the LN, it would have been US$ 375. Just not sure though if the LV would be more expensive. And I'm glad that I didn't have to replace the whole bezel.

I would wait until the next service. Unless you actually use the pearl.

It actually looks good without the pearl. If you cen remove the residual dot in the white triangle, I would actually just keep it as is. :)

I think that's the indent the pearl seats into rather then any form of residual.

They now can fit just the pearl in the ceramic inserts Rolex have developed a tool for this purpose.

That is a very good idea.....Pelagos lume (although not covered by sapphire) is like this......it would result in a clean looking bezel and no knocking off possibilities
