Next Cigar question: wrapped or not in humidifier??
So...I use the gel containers (fill with solution, keeps humidity...or supposed to). I was recently reading that sometimes cigars and wrappers can dry and will not be the correct humidity for smoking properly (burn uneven, etc...).
So, do you all leave yours wrapped? Unwrapped? On another note, got my Xikar punch in. So far it's done well.

I asked this same question in a while back in another thread. One of the cigar experts said that the wrapped isn't actually plastic, that it allows moisture to have access to the cigar. You can leave them on of you like.

Next Cigar question: wrapped or not in humidifier??
Most of mine aren't wrapped, but the research I've done says the same as above. The material is porous and lets humidity in and out.

Makes no difference providing the humidifier is serviced and operating as it should.

Thank you all for that. For now my humidor is just a box with the gel/solution set up.
Soon enough I'll get the cabinet I want and get a proper humidifier for it.
