Steve, I'm unsure if it signs Rolex under the coronet. Looks like 2 words to me.
Also, the coronet sign looks too low. I thought it should be higher near 12. |

Steve:
I'm old and need a magnifying glass to look at this. I sure wouldn't buy it based on this picture. What else do you know about the person? Terry Newton

Ask the seller...
...to take the watch to a jeweler and have the jeweler give you the ser and ref#. Assuming genuine, looks like a GOOD buy.
Also, ask the seller if he cannot do the jeweler thingy, ask him if he will give you a money back guaranty if not authentic. Additionally, look at his feedback-the most expensive thing is a $25 pair of jeans-many items under $10. Looks like they may be garage sale folks. Stan. |

http://robertmaron.com/product.php?p...cat=265&page=2 There are a couple of very noticable differences. (Datejust font, 3 lines of "Superlative" "Officially Certified" "Chronometer" vs 2, location of SWISS at bottom, location of lume etc) Last, the 12 o'clock marker doesn't align with the coronet. |

boy that face has some real issues.the actual watch looks o.k.,but that face has made me change my mind about buying it.I have a hard time believing that is a rolex original, even the minute tritium marks are missing, and there not rolling around anywhere that I can see,so that leads me to believe that it has been opened. No telling what I would be getting myself into with that one.
I definitely will pass. just want to say thanks to all my friends here that gave me their opinion on this one. If I am seriously considering buying something I tend to overlook my own feelings that something might be wrong. cheers, steve |

follow up:the owner just sent me an e-mail stating that they could not guarantee the authenticity because they dont have the paperwork,I replied that that doesnt stop you from taking to get it authenticated.
I believe they wont do that because they know that this is not genuine.IMO |

It's been reported. I don't believe it's worth what he claims. It's sold but I think it should not have been.
