Jumbo 15202 question - winding

hey guys,

wondering if my baby has an issue. My watch was stopped so I wound it last night then set the time. a few hours later I noticed that the time was unchanged but I heard the watch ticking. I fiddled with the crown and the watch started to keep time and has since then. The question is - if the crown was pulled out (or more likely, not securely in position A / 1) would the minute hand advance? Im hoping this isn't a service issue. Thanks for taking a read.
