I've returned...

I've just returned from the First Annual East Coast WIS/TRF Horology Consortium,,, ummmm, in other words, two old guys who each drove about 1/2 way to meet in an obscure coffee shop to solve world problems, drink about a gallon of coffee, trade some gifts and oh yea, talk watches. Great finally meeting face to face Ken (Invictus Maneo), until next time my friend.

Makes me wonder about all the talk about "my watch is 5 seconds ahead" when the guy with the SS watch can't even set the time right.

We took the average between the two, sprayed that number with a little foo foo spray and poof, like magic the correct time appears!

Well, I confess, Tim's is probably the right time ( you don't miss much, Mon!) because I know mine loses a few seconds a day and I haven't reset it for a while. I usually do it Friday night when I give it it's foo-foo bath but I guess I forgot to the last couple of times.

To be honest, I don't really worry about it too much! I just wear and enjoy my watch! Besides, someone (darn it, I forget too now! Damn old age!)moniker is "there's time and then there's Rolex Time!" But when two Rolex's are in question, I defer to the esteemed COP414, always!

Tim, it was REALLY great to finally meet you after all the PM's and phone calls! I had a blast talking watches and solving all the worlds problems with you! Now, if they'd just listen to us..........

It was a beautiful day for a small trek down to PA and Tim is an even greater guy than I thought!

Also, Marc and Danny, thank you for the kind words! Danny, it was great meeting you in Vegas! I just wish we could have spent more time together but I had other issues crop up. And Marc, you as well are "one of the good guys" and I enjoy reading your posts and appreciate you had my six the other day on "that" thread! We have to figure out a meet sometime.

Danny, if you ever want to hang, just send me a ticket to SFO.
