Sorry but I have to ask, what would you ROO 42mm vs PP5167
I know both are very different watches I even traded my Diver for the 5167 but the black and red ROO is just calling me.
I am also posting this question in the PP forum :) What would you choose and why? Thanks Simon |

What else is in the collection?
Two very different watches. Black and red looks great, especially on a Horus Strap; keep seeing the pics on IG.

I have the blk/red ROO and have no interest in the 5167 as I already have a 5980/1A. The blk/red ROO is sharp and sporty. One of my favorites.

Patek is interesting but small for my wrist. I'll go with AP for sport watches and Patek for dress watches...meaning I'll take a RO or a ROO over a Nautilus or aquanaut any day.

I had a PP5712 once and sold it after a month and bought the 5980/1A. 5712 (and 5711) were too small on my wrist. I now have an AP 15202 and while still thin, it wears noticeably larger than the 5712/5711 and is a keeper for me as far as dressier Genta designs go.

This list makes me think you like watches with a bit of wrist presence; probably why you are considering flipping the 5167.
I'd make the flip.

Prefer the size of the ROO, Aqua is just a bit too small and light, wish it had the square case/lugs of the Nautilus.

Love AP but I would go 5167 in this case as it is a nice change from a collection that leans towards heavier watches....

I like the look of the Aqua, but it's just too small for my wrist, so ROO.

Thanks for all the feedback, I am working the wife to just try to add it, I really like my 4 watches so that would be the best scenario

I've tried the diver and the 5167 on, but don't own either. The diver felt like had much more wrist presence, and got "more watch" for my money, but I think it was just slightly too big for my wrist and maybe even a bit flashy for me to wear everyday. I think I would opt for a 5167 since it fit my wrist a lot better, was lighter and more comfortable.

I flipped my 5167 for the grey 42mm ROO. Happy I did. I prefer a bit of wrist presence. The aquanaut is a beauty though and I'll probably add a Patek back to my 4-watch collection some day.
Good luck with your decision 👍 |

I don't think there is any resemblance between the design of RO/ROO and the Nautilus line. Designed by the same person yes but while they are both inspired from the porthole of a ship, they do not look alike to me at all. The proportions are way different between AP and Patek also.
