AP Royal Oak Chronograph

Hi, i am planning to purchase my 1st AP this month. However im still wondering whether to choose AP Ro Chronograph or AP Roo Panda.

For me, i am more attracted to the AP Ro chronograph, since its a beautiful timepiece with classic and elegant style. However, i would prefer watch that has leather strap instead of stainless bracelet.

Can anyone help me to answer and give their opinion...
1. Which one would you prefer Ap ROC or Panda?
2. Since the Ap Roc comes up with bracelet, is it possible for me to change into leather strap ? Since some people said that there are some issues in replacing the bracelet...

A lot of this is personal preference with the ROO being more sporty/thick and the ROC more dressy/thin. For me, the ROOs are just too big for my wrist. Both can be on bracelets and straps, although many ROCs require a conversion kit (just ask for your particular model--there are threads about conversion here on TRF). And even though you prefer straps, you may find yourself converting to bracelets after awhile with an AP. Their bracelets are awesome.

If you like the Panda look and are leaning towards a ROC, get a 26300 Panda and you'll have all of your bases covered.

I'm with Steve, I like ROOs but they are a bit thick and the slimmer ROC was a better choice for my 7 inch wrist after I lost some weight. They can be worn on straps but the SS looks best on bracelet.

Firstly, imo the ROC stands out compared to panda when you talk of long term use..

Regarding the leather strap you can opt for one of the Leo Messi editions which are ROCs on strap..

Here are some pics..

Neither are chrono, but I love both my 15400 and my Diver.

To me, the bracelet on the RO is amazing, so I would start with that and buy leather as well....however, you have to wear the rubber strap to appreciate how wonderful it is.

As an aside....no matter what anybody says, changing straps/bracelets on these watches is really easy.

I have to agree. I don't think I would get an AP on rubber/leather unless I already had one that had a bracelet.
