I'd go with the LN....BLNR never quite grew on me. Don't believe the current hype lol
Get the LN, but with a good discount (10%) and you will be OK!

However, if you buy your watch with a very good discount, it is a special case that does not follow the general rule aforementioned.
I'd imagine Rolex anticipated sales of the LN to go down when the BLNR was introduced but nonetheless it's still a popular model. As far as resale goes one can't really draw any conclusions by using MSRP as the reference since very good discounts have been available on the LN since the BLNR hit the display cases. Typically a BNIB LN can be found for $1.5K - $2K less than the BLNR so upon resale the value still holds up pretty good. Unless Rolex decides to limit the supply of the BLNR then I wouldn't expect current resale values to stay quite as high on them as they are now. People still occasionally have difficulty finding the BLNR at AD's and because the watch is so new there are relatively few used ones on the market, used prices get elevated by the current circumstances.

To me the bezel color is just right.. Black for night time, and blue for the sky color during day time. And I have a sub already..

I've been swamped at work, but once I'm done, I'll pick something up...sort of a reward I guess. I have one on hold ;)

Had the LN a few years ago and loved it. If I was to buy another GMT II I would choose the BLNR

Great to see a consensus!

It seems no one can agree which is best, except you...

They're both awesome pieces, but it's whatever makes me happy at the end of the day (although there's really no bad choice).

Blnr

I liked LN a lot before the BLNR came out. The blue color on the bezel makes the watch more interesting for me instead of the all black bezel which other brands also have. As for the black/blue combination for me its a Rolex GMT trademark same with the Coke and Pepsi models.

when I see both side by side, I prefer the LN.. I tried to like the BLNR at the AD myself.. and I couldn't read the dial too easily.. it just didn't do it for me. the LN is fun, austere, and I predict will stand the test of time. Yes, the blnr will have better resale, but you'll pay more now too.. and you'll likely sell it as well. the lack of color in the bezel looks nicer.. at the day's end, both are a great choice. someday, the BLNR won't be as popular.. you'll see a plethora of them used in a few years.. they will hold their value, but you'll likely see them for thousands less than new.

LN - just a classier all round look in my opinion. This is coming from someone who owns an LV Sub, lol. I must me tired of color.

The Classic LN would be my choice.
