I think it holds up perfectly fine for a daily. I've been wearing mine everyday for a month, and it still looks very good. I honestly think it shows scratches much less than Rolex PCLs do. I think my LVC clasp had more scratches than my RO as well, just because the clasp on it is so thick it is harder to protect. The thick clasp and lugs were huge parts of why that watch didn't last long for me.

I don't get people not saying to get it as an only watch because it's more fragile, its not really; to me that's like saying don't date a hot girl because it would hurt more if you broke up.

If you really love your LVC though, try to be patient. I'm learning to take this path as well.

I will be honest and say that I haven'thad a desire to put a Rolex on after feeling the quality of AP too. YMMV.
Great insight here thank you! Especially coming from a former LVC owner. I think I will always want to hold onto my sub, so patience it is!

Swimming depth btw is never really more than a residential deep end ;) but desk diving I'm pretty serious about, so good to know about the clasp comparison.
