It depends on the kind of contract your card has with Priority. Some agreements have no fees, others have a minimal entrance fee.

I know that with the Priority Pass I get through AMEX my entrances are free but I get charged for my guests.

I always look forward to see what wall clocks they have in the lounges :) A lot of them have AP and Breitling clocks.

I believe the lounge in YYZ terminal 1 changed the rules, I used to have free access with my Amex business platinum but about a year ago they started charging a fee. I just use the AC lounge now but Plaza Premium was nice while I had free access

I have used Priority Pass as part of Amex card benefits, but with United leaving that program, limits its use for me.

The Centurion Clubs through Amex have been a great amenity so far, fyi.

depends on the issuer terms.

TD Visa Inf Privilege offer 4 Maple Leaf and I belive 4 Priority Lounge per year at $399 annual fee.

https://www.tdcanadatrust.com/produc...ilege-card.jsp

AMEX Aeroplan Reserve is unlimited access at $899 annual. If you travel more than say 12 times, its worth it when you add up all the other stuff.

https://www.americanexpress.com/ca/e...e-credit-card/

But, the standard platinum is probably the best balance of all with unlimited lounge +++ at $699

https://www.americanexpress.com/ca/e...platinum-card/

I just got that one and its been good.

I have a Priority Pass membership through amex platinum and it gives you access to 700+ l lounges globally, some are better than others. Guest passes for +1 are $27 per visit. the card also came with access to the centurion lounges. I've only been to the one in Miami but the food is excellent, top shelf liquor, free chair massages and manicures. You can bring up to two guests.

Centurion lounge is the best. When I was flying a few months ago I grabbed a bite to eat and checked some emails while there.

Yes, PP since 2006. The one with no entrance fee from AMEX.

I get two free guests with mine, so If traveling with my wife we get 4 guests in free of charge.

I have PP through my AMEX Platinum card but I've never used one of their lounges. I did go to the Centurion lounge at LAS in June. I was able get my wife and granddaughter in for no charge, although my wife has her own AMEX Platinum card. Most of the time I use the United Red Carpet club since they seem to have lounges at most of the airports I fly though.

I hung up my AMEX Platinum Card when United took over Continental Airlines, as they (AMEX) had no relationship w/United. Got the United Explorer Club card (VISA) and have never been happier with a credit card, the service, and associated perks.

I am in Houston, so United is the airline I use 90-plus-percent of the time and the card gives me unlimited access for me and up to two fellow travelers to the United Club in any airport that has them, 2 free checked bags for each person traveling with me as long as their ticket was purchased with my card, Priority boarding, miles for each dollar spent, and a host of other perks.

If you travel frequently on United, it may be with looking into - just be sure the get the United Explorer Club, not the United Explorer Plus, card. It's $399 a year after the first year, but well worth it to me.

Best,

I fly out of IAD a lot, so United is my airline of necessity (choice). I got the United Mileage Plus Club card from Chase. It covers my Red Carpet club dues and gets me a whole host of other perks. I typically only use my AMEX Platinum card to pay for car rentals and occasionally hotels, if I book through AMEX concierge service.

I had the Amex Centurian Card, but here in Australia the benefits are basically zero (maybe different in the USA) so instead of paying $5000 per year for that black titanium rectangle I got a Citibank Signature card and for $350 per annum, I get Priority Pass and Gold Hilton Hotel Membership.

Priority pass varies a lot in quality, but just the other day I bought a New Zealand Airlines Lounge day pass for $55 and I was very average, so I've got to say if you can get Priority Pass membership with a credit card for a few hundred dollars a year, that in my book is good value.
