How accurate is your Pam?
I've been testing my 286 for accuracy with the "Official U.S. Time Clock" and it seems like she likes to run 5 - 6 seconds slow after about a week of testing. The last 24 hours it didn't gain or lose any time at all so I'm pretty satisfied so far. So, how about you's Panny owners, how accurate is yours?

My Pam 98 Is bang on, about 1-2 seconds fast/week
My 233, about 14 seconds fast/week 190 about 30 seconds slow/week 232/249, no second hands so not sure Very happy with the accuracy of them

So, out of all those which one is your fave? I gotta admit the 249/232 is quite an attraction for me but too much on the secondary for me to justify. Wish I could have picked one up at retail. |

My favorite is actually the 98.
Not even remotely historically correct, but I love the alarm, dial layout, size etc. Have a tiny issue with the 232 & 249. The crown actually rubs on my wrist & will wear the skin off my wrist.

When I got the 104 it was -40s/day !!! Took it back to the AD,had it regulated by Vendome and now its very accurate.-2 to +2 per day, depending on how much its worn and overnight position.
The 242 with the JLC movement, has "Daytona like" accuracy.(Thats very accurate !! () ) The 231 seems very accurate if "judged by the eye".No seconds hand. The 289 is not worn long enough to make any accuracy judgements. |

That 98 kinda reminds me of the 214 I tried on. So, does the dual crowns rub 2 spots raw on your wrist?

The 98 is only 42 mm, so the crowns are fine.
the 232/249 are 47mm , so the crown extends out more to the back of my hand. So working on a keyboard, and the wrist bends a bit, it rubs, it's like sandpaper on my wrist/hand. I have a 190, it seems to be fine, just those other two.

I found that if I sit my 286 with the "12" down (like this) overnight, it doesn't speed up or slow down a bit.

Differs for every watch, but a general rule is Crown up ~ slower, face up ~ faster.Thats what I have found with most. |
