Awful Rolex anyone?

I personally cannot think of a single awful official Rolex. At times people hate or bash on Rolex watches but can you tell me which Rolex is so bad that you hate it? For the record I think everything they have ever produce is great. This doesn't include customised Rolex watches only official ones.

I wouldn't say awful, but probably the Cellini.

Well, the Leopard Daytona comes quickly to mind as well as the diamond encrusted GMT II.

Well... I wouldn't call them awful/fugly, however, here are a few Rolex watches in my collection that many say have serious aesthetic flaws... For me there is beauty in the abstract nature of these pieces... In short, I'm saying I love them!

According to TRF these 2 Explorer's are Rolex's worst ever, with the 214270 being built with short hands and the Noir 216570 just being big, dark and ugly as ever...

agree, I could own and love any one. I do prefer some over others, but would take and wear and enjoy any one of them!

Only a few models I wouldn't buy. The YM2 comes to mind. Too much going on with complications i'd never use. I don't hate it though, I don't hate any rolex

Most people hating or bashing Rolex probably do so for frivolous reasons--none of which warrant discussion. Personally, are their Rolex models I would not buy? Yes. Do I believe those same models are incredibly engineered pieces? Yes. In fact, I agree with your first sentence BIG LEAGUE (Trump voice... ;))

Different strokes for different folks. That's why there are so many models. I like them all, even if some are very "flashy"

There are a few that I would never buy, but as the saying goes "there is a lid for every trashcan".

There are many I'd never buy for myself and quite a few that people have posted that really don't work for them.

But there's a quick and easy answer to any question like this. Just type the name of the brand and the magic word "1970s" into google and you'll probably find at least one thing that doesn't look tasteful. Garish turquiose dial, I'm looking at you.

Seriously, those Domino's Pizza Rolexes (whenever they are from)-who in their right mind would defend those as looking anything but awful? Anyone who would say that the only reason not to care for the look of a Rolex is jealousy or something needs must be put To The Domino's Question.

I don't "hate" any of the official Rolex lineup but there are two that I will never buy simply because they don't meet my needs and preferences: (1) Daytona and (2) YM2.

I don't think there are any awful ones. Even the SACO is a nice looking piece in person. Not for me, and I used to hate on them until I saw one.

Ones I don't like are small, old DJ's. But I don't think they're awful, just not for me.

I'll bash you for hating on planes in a watch thread!

King Air is a plane made by Beechcraft.

Time to turn in your WIS card.

A few that I don't like at all (including some pretty popular models!), but not sure it is productive or conducive to the community on here to start calling out particular models that others may be very happy with.
