No, I don't think the week indicator is taking up more room on the dial compared to the 39mm (there's def a gap between the outter ring of the dial and the sub dials, I'll attach a pic).

BUT, On closer inspections of my old 39mm, I also don't think the sub dials are any larger than on the new version. Seem the dials on the new version are just spread out a hair more than on the 39mm.

I really like the week indicators. It's a great visual representation of time within the calendar year. I can't see any issue with the hand getting in the way. To me it's a very nice complication that sets this watch apart from many other PCs.
