I like the Easylink clasp on the GMT2C, feels as secure as an S-class' door. However, I'm not sure if it would fit on my GMT2 16710. Any thoughts? I don't mind having PCL instead of brushed. Would it be worth the swap, or should I just stick to the 78790 bracelet?

Any feedback is deeply appreciated!

If you could source a clasp it will fit but clasp alone is upward of $1000 plus.

I like to keep my watches as accurate as possible to how they were issued. Wear the older style bracelet. There is nothing wrong with it and even though it may not seem as secure to you, they have lasted for many years with few issues.

The same easylink clasp is also used on the Explorer I & II but the center section is brushed.

If you can source just a clasp, then you can easily swap the existing clasp for the new easylink clasp.

Another option is if you can can source an entire 116710 bracelet (w/ PCL's), you can do a direct bracelet swap on to your 16710. I believe this works for the no holes cases only... If you have lug holes then you're out of luck with the 116710 endlinks. YMMV

I understand that the watches should be worn as factory fitted as possible. Mine's a no holes case so I just entertained the idea and thought it might be possible. Sourcing an entire bracelet was also an idea but cost wise...

I'll just stick to the original and enjoy the watch for now.
