Are there various 16710 bezel fonts? Pic

Are there various GMT Bezel fonts out there? I know there are in vintage Rolex, but I didn't think there were on more modern 16710's. Here are two examples of bezels that are genuine, but appear different. Does anyone know about this or am I seeing something that isn't there?

Thanks.

Guess I should add, to the best of my knowledge they are both legit inserts.

Over the past 50 odd years there have been hundreds of tiny fonts changes on inserts, dials etc, trouble today with the WIS type these tiny differences are more wooped and shouted about. With your Mk 1,2,3,4 or any other number mark dial, flat four fonts, pointed fonts, dial tick spacing, the infamous so called mistake dial or stick dial GMT the list is endless to a WIS,but the rest of Joe public doubt if they would even notice or care as they buy a Rolex for what it is a watch.

I'm interested in this as well. My Pepsi doesn't have "tails" on the 2's and 4's, but my Coke and Black does.

I understand that, and I've seen discussions on those MK 1,2,3,4 and the error stick dial. I've never seen anyone talk about 16710 insert changes. Kinda surprised there would be no discussion if they are different and both legit.

So, maybe my question is: Are these both Rolex OEM bezel inserts? I thought they were based on where I got the pictures from.

To me the "B" insert looks to have much fatter numbers.

A bump for the night crew. I think "B" is OEM, just maybe an older style.

There is also a fat font version with seriffs. Seems to show up during the early 2000 years.

Hope this doesn't confuse things more...but neither of the two inserts you posted have the serif-esque 'tails' as armybuck mentioned on the 2s/4s. I have a 2002 16710 Coke bought brand new and it has the tails. But I've also seen 16710 Cokes without the tails. I have to say though, I've never seen a 16710 Pepsi bezel with the tails...

Mine is a serif Coke.

Thanks for the replies. Think I'll try and collect good photos of various 16710 inserts. I'll be able to get some good pics of "B" soon. ;-)

Mike the Mod has posted a pic of a pile of Pepsi inserts over the years. Wish I still had it...so many variations.

I bet you can find it by searching on inserts and fonts Mik.

It was an amazing photo.

Here is a red/blue insert with seriffs - circa 2003.
