Welcome to the Forum!

I like what I see.. Looks like one fine watch!

Do the papers match the serial? Service history? Does the bracelet have any reference numbers/date stamp codes?

Love the colors, accessories, insert, case looks solid, very nice Mk-5 dial..
Hopefully the price is right and you are home with a beaut!

I know the forum doesn't do valuations, but does anyone have a feel for any appropriate price point for an example of this quality? I'm in the market for something like this, though maybe with a ghost insert, and it's always a bit tough to know what to pay.

Looks like a great piece!!

The Bracelet appears to be a USA Riveted Bracelet. The COSC Paper with the punched serial number is not present,Only what is pictured.I am not sure if the outer Box and the Riveted Bracelet are "correct".I have read that some Red Subs have the USA Riveted Bracelet but it's questionable.

Check if the Rolex booklet has the punched serial, if not, the other accessories are ok. I would not worry about the bracelet nor the inner/outer boxes, that would not be a concern for me.

Looks like a Mk 5 dial. Very nice patina. Case appears to be unpolished. Definitely a great buy.

I'll defer to the vintage experts on the details, but I love the look of that dial... and killer patina - perfectly matched hour markers, hands and even the pearl. If everything checks out, and the price is right, I would jump on this one.

PS. Mine says hello....

Would this Watch orginally had a Twin Lock or Triple Lock Crown?

Mine (circa 1970) is a triplock

have you seen this site?
http://www.doubleredseadweller.com/w.../untitled.html

It says:

"Crown: Red Subs with case numbers <3M were manufactured with “Twin Lock” Crowns. These crowns do not have “dots” under the Rolex logo. Subsequent crowns had 3 small dots under the crown and were called “Triplock” crowns."
