'85 eh, so probably a later/newer version dial then. Hahaha, I wouldn't dare go over to the vintage forum...that would REALLY open a big can of worms! ;) Sent from my D6653 using Tapatalk |

Had the piece for almost a week and it is surprising accurate...gains a couple seconds face up at night and losses a couple when worn in the morning, evens out perfectly to a +/-0.0 seconds a day average!
Can't be happier right now. :-) Sent from my D6653 using Tapatalk |

Good choice. The 16014 is a truly clean looking classic.
I had a slate grey dial one. |

Actually haven't had a chance to work on the bracelet yet...my shabby screwdrivers chipped on me so I have a set of Bergeons coming in. I'll see if I'll have better luck with the Bergeons with the bracelet heated and update.

While I'm waiting to remedy the bracelet issue I'm wearing it on a "cheapo" replacement Jubilee, not too shabby but ultimately not a permanent solution for sure.
Anyone know if RSC might still have the Jubilee bracelet available for sale? Approx cost idea? I might consider it if the original that came with the watch can't be resized properly. Sent from my D6653 using Tapatalk |

Had some time to kill tonight so I thought I'd try to capture the beauty of the Datejust. I don't think I quite did it but it was worth a shot...

Beautiful pics! You certainly captured the subtle beauty of this watch. I know what you mean, it's a hard one to capture compared to how it looks in person.

Here's another vintage watch of mine, from 1972; that was the year I decided to switch from creative writing to science for a life pursuit. |

What I beautiful find Richard.
I am going backwards as well, looking for a 36mm DJ in silver. Too classy a watch. Where did you pickup the Jubliee bracelet? BTW Richard have you ever lived in Canada?
