Unveiling my new PAM 197
so i have been looking for a PAM 190 for quite some time, with no leads on any new ones. was at the AD yesterday, told him about it, he said "let me get something out of the back you might like", and came out with the 197; same watch only in gold with a hobnail dial.
never thought i would like the dial, since the pics i have seen just dont look that good, but its UNBELIEVABLE in person!! i must say it was quite a shock how good it looks in person (vs. how bad i thought it looked in pics, including the ones below). anyway, enjoy.... i tried to capture the hobnail on the next couple pics; needed flash, but it didnt come out so well...looks much better in person |

Mark, from one hobnail dial owner to another, Congrats!!
Love the gold, but I haven't delved into the 18K Pam sector yet. It's only a matter of time though. |

I think it looks frikkin superb.
I am trying to wean myself off the goldies so I'd better stay away from the Panerai boutique with these babies on show.

Both those 197 & the 231 are smoking gorgeous pieces.
I would love either one of them. Great You are so right, pictures do not do either of them any justice.

That 8 day power reserve movement is awesome.
I really like the display back and the appearance of that movement.
