All Gold Rolex with Diamonds - Max Discount

Hi All,

Can you please advise me on what is a considered a really good discount for an all gold Rolex with diamonds?

I am hunting for a good deal on a gift for the Mrs and have a few contacts but want to make sure I am getting the right amount of discount.

I will post pics of the models I am interested in.

Thank you

Depends on the dealer, doubt most will carry any of them in stock depending on AD size though. Never seen them in my local dealers but then again I don't live in London.

I would imagine 25% is attainable possibly up to 30%

I'd say somewhere between 25-30% is fair.

I saw option 1 at an the Al Koory AD in Abu Dhabi. The starting discount was 15%, without any haggling whatsoever.

I'm certain it all depends on the particular AD and the local market. But, I would think at least 15% is a fair expectation on a PM watch.

+1. I'd shoot for 30% and be satisfied with 25%.

Why not make it special, fly her to Australia buy here with our depreciated dollar claim your 10% back at the airport on top of the 20% discount and get a free holiday...... FYI to the other comments, the all gold Daytona will be found in many AD's anything with diamonds will just come down to what the AD is carrying.

Discounting isn't allowed by Rolex & frowned upon, however with precious metal watches their a lot more flexible.

If I were you I would visit many AD's especially smaller ones who would be happy to order the watch for you and would welcome the sale of a higher priced item which may result in a decent discount however you will most likely be required to put down a deposit.

Beautiful watch.

How are people even working with 30% on PM watches.

I ask for 20% and they act like I slept with their wife.

do not buy in the UK especially with a piece in this price range

you could take her on a free holiday to buy the watch, go somewhere in EU and take advantage of the euro and tax is already paid

If you are willing to travel north of London there are many ADs who would offer good discounts. PM me if you want names

I inquired about these two watches at the Abu Dhabi Marina mall yesterday and the salesman immediately deducted 15% off MSRP. After a short discussion he was at 20%.

Perhaps if I was buying I could have pushed for 25% or more. As others have said, the PM watches get a much more palatable discount than the SS watches.

I purchased my wife a 18k with diamonds was listed at near £24k mark and got 15% discount from Goldsmiths who I have a good relationship with. Probably could have gotten a better deal at an independent but I've got quite a few rolexes from this dealer now and they bend over backwards to get me quite a few unique models in store to pick from so I'm happy with the 15% off.
