PAM 80 "Independent"?
Can someone tell me the back story / significance of this PAM 80 "Independent"? It's white gold and 42mm. Seller asking about $20,000. I am interested but not sure it is really that rare and worth the money?
Love your hear your feedback. Thanks. DS |

This is one of those pieces that is really different. The PAM80 features a dead-beat second complication. The movement is made by Chezard which is known for this type of movement. This movement goes back to pendulum clocks, and the second hand that is on the piece doesn't sweep, it actually ticks at each second.
You also don't find many 42mm Radiomirs anymore and a lot of people like to collect these since there were a few of them in the collection. There are only 160 units made. |
