TT sub movement
So I called my AD today to ask if they could pop off the back of my new sub so i could take a picture of the movement in case i ever sold the watch. Apparently the authentication I paid for at my local AD does NOT include opening the watch to make sure that nobody swapped parts. They also will not open the watch since they said it would void my warranty. I figured the AD watchmaker could open it up no problem.
I knew something was fishy at my AD. Anyway my automatic winder is a bit squeeky and the winding makes that shh sound (which I was told not to worry about by a forum member). A member said if i was worried about the movement to open up the watch and take a look which is how I found all of this out. Would you guys recommend I open it up and take a look or just trust the AD's assessment of the outside of the watch? My first watch was mostly real on the exterior but had a fake movement ticking about 4-5 times per second, which is why I am so leery. Appreciate the advice in advance. |

Take it to Rolex and be done with it for authentication. It's pretty normal for ad not to open a new watch

You wont be happy till you've seen the insides. An AD wont do that so take it to a high street watch dealer and get the back popped off or sticky ball it yourself. if you do it yourself make sue the O ring is clean and regreased and your good to go
