Is there really that much play in the dial, or any play at all?

The dial is fixed but you can adjust the movement a little.

Yes, it has been soldered leg/pins on the backside. But the movement is floating where you fix it with screws in that position you like but you have to make sure the crown axle will work properly. The rehaut is fixed too so the movement is the only thing you can adjust.

Just talked to my AD, by phone though. The bezel he said that it's not supposed to stop and click at 12. In other words line up with 12 on a click. The YM or the subc. He said 12 is supposed to be between clicks. Not sure I'm buying this at all. When I tried to explain the rehaut crown not lining up with 12 he couldn't figure out was I was talking about.
Here's a question. Though I bought these two watches at this AD, we have another AD nearby with no affiliation. Should I try them? Are all AD's generally equally helpful regardless of if you bought the price from them? Frustrated.

My Subc bezel is slightly off center, I don't care what anyone thinks, it should line up perfectly. Yes it does bug me, I just haven't gone to the AD with it, yet !

AD's generally don't know as much as you would like them to nor as much as they think they do.. They are sales staff, not technical staff.

Mine doesn't line up perfectly either so I don't leave it at 12, problem solved. Plus u send it in they will fix that and end up scratching something. I'd leave it and enjoy your watch.
