You have heard it...yet, still makes me laugh

After a few hours on the road, stopped last night at a local AD (yes, I am a WIS), asked about the RG YM. The answer: "We can only sell you one if you have bought from us before" Lousy sales strategy...just sharing.

I have not heard that one before. My AD contact would say that these guys are in the business of "sales prevention" with this type of service.

Idiots!

It is readily available at any AD I go to here in the US.

The only watch that is in short supply here in the US is the D-blue.

Totally agree, G. That's one lousy sales strategy. I mean it's 2016, you'd think that they got rid of that mentality already.

I've seen that piece at numerous ADs, and everyone of them would have been happy to "wrap it up" on the spot...wonderful sales strategies, oh so clever

Baffling. Why wouldn't they want to make a precious metal sale?

I actually wound up talking to the manager, that could not apologize enough for her "misinformed staff"...

Chicago suburbs area by chance?

Honestly, I do not understand this strategy at all. Even if you are hoping to set aside the piece for a "valued" client/customer, there is nothing logical about not selling a piece that you can replace in stock easily by ordering more from Rolex HQ.

Lee Michaels in North Star mall San Antonio. Moretti's is the only other AD off of 281.
