44mm ROO Chrono Arrow doesn't return to center.

Hello,

The red chrono arrow on my watch does not sit dead center as it should.
Its set a bit to the right.

I'm guessing this is not normal.
Any ideas, or has anyone seen this before?

Hate the idea of sending it in for service, as I just got it a few weeks ago!!

It also runs about 15 seconds fast over a 24 hour period.

Has it always been that way?
Or had it reset properly then suddenly changed?

I had the same problem with my 26400so too. Small issues. Just have to send it in. It took a 2weeks here in Singapore.
Seeing your vertical brushed bezel, I assume this is a I series. So I think most 44 roos of i serise would have this problem too

Also you may try to run and reset the chronograph a couple of times it will be in place some how . But if that still bothers you then just send it in. Hope that helps

It's free to send in under warranty, so why not. Just your time and annoyance.

Thanks for all the replies everyone.
And happy new year!

The lady at the AP boutique said January is a bad month to send in, but I will definitely do so mid February.

Someone above commented that based on the bezel my watch is an I series.
As I'm a newbie, can someone kindly tell me what this means, and its significance?

Is it older, newer?

It's the latest series with the vertically brushed bezel. It has nothing to do with your issue though. I had three I series (two steel, one FC and none had this problem). AP will sort you out in a couple of weeks. Nothing to worry about.

When AP produces such few watches annually and demand such high price, I wish their quality control and inspection was much more stringent and overall reliability and functionality of their pieces were flawless.
After reading about many such issues on this forum, I was dissuaded from buying the 44mm RG and went in for DD40. AP are beautiful watches no doubt, but at that price point I would want mine to be flawless.

There is no such thing as flawless anything. APs are temperamental beasts and you have to know what you walk into to avoid disappointment. Their service though, best in the industry ... and the feeling of wearing one is unparalleled.

I walked into a Rolex store the other day just to look around and the lady behind the counter saw my 44FC. She said something like "I don't understand why a watch with a rubber band is so expensive". I sighed and moved on ... and felt all warm inside. With AP, you get it or you don't.

I do agree with you though ... their initial quality control could be better.

Wonder what that lady would say about a Richard Mille??

When I walked into a Rolex boutique a while ago (looking for a blue Deepsea), I had the opposite experience. The sales woman gushed on and on about my FC, eventually asking me if I could take it off so she could have a closer look.

I know what you mean ... went into an Omega store right after and had a similar experience to what you describe.

Theoretically, this should be as simple as removing the hand and resetting it (or another one) assuming it always resets to the same spot. Lindsay will take great care of you and the watch.

This has (annoyingly) happened to EVERY chrono I've ever owned. AP has always resolved it well. Best service.

Thanks guys,

I bought this less than a month ago :-/

Also, since I'll be sending this in for service soon....whats the process with getting the third year warranty activated?
