They both look great but I think the Daytona takes it by a hair.

Personally I think sub goes great with a suit. I don't know why some are against it.

Either works well... Makes sense why it's tough to decide.

There are loads of articles out there saying a formal watch on a leather strap is appropriate for suits, not sports watches. Look up The Watch Snob. He credits James Bond with the undoing of this standard by wearing steel watches with suits and (more so) tuxedos.

I think you wear what you like and if someone complains or is offended, too bad. That said I have an IWC on leather for occasions that are officially formal, but I'd wear my GMT II or My Seamaster without shame or concern. But if I did that when would I wear the IWC...?

I'd go submariner! The Daytona looks great but I'm not a big Daytona guy.

No question here!! With a suit, Daytona hands down!!!! I'm not a big fan of subs and GMTs with suits.

With a suit I gotta say Daytona is a clear winner. I think the Daytona looks great dressed up or dressed down. Though considering I'm planning on that being my next purchase (well after I get the finance a dj) I might be a bit biased.

Why not? GMTs were designed for pilots and they wear suits to work. 😁 That said, I like the black glossy bezel of the sub in this case.

Love the simplicity of the Sub but the case lines of the Daytona... Tough call.

Both nice. I'd go w the Daytona. It's a bit dressier and sits flatter on the wrist

Both awesome. Convention be damned. Personally, of those two, I would (and occasionally do) go with the Daytona. But these days I opt for a nice thin Reverso when I'm suited up.

Seems both of these pair well with a suit

The white dial of the Daytona wins on by book as a better choice, has a dressier look.
