We are not better than other people, we just have nice watches. Is that a snob?

That's what you think. I started just wanting the one.

The 114060 is a classic. I owned it for a bit but had to free up some extra cash. It will definitely make it's way back into my collection some day.

I'm over the whole brand snobbery thing. I buy what I like.
I think every Rolex collector should have a JDM Seiko in the collection.

The SARZ003 and SARZ005 are two I have which I've swapped onto leather straps as well as others.

One thing owning a Rolex has done for me is made me appreciate auto watches a lot more and they don't have to be expensive necessarily to enjoy owning and wearing them.

These two JDM Seiko's are fine watches and here in the UK as rare as hens teeth. I've never seen another in the wild apart from mine and I doubt I ever will, and as mere Seiko 5's they have an enduring beauty all of their own.

Rolex makes great watches
Very wearable daily drivers
But there are notably nicer watches out there

For me, I thought all I wanted to be was a one watch Rolex guy. Well I was wrong and that thought made me realize that I was indeed a WATCH GUY... I needed several/many brands (variety). Then I got tired of reading posts by people that turned me off to the Rolex brand. Sold off my Rolex watches (years on now with no regret, although I do appreciate the brand again). Now I've come full circle... I have several brands of watches (no Rolex though) and my most expensive (Tudor BBred) to my least expensive (Seiko chrono quartz) ALL give me equal satisfaction when I strap one of them on. There are too many nice watches and brands out there to be enjoyed once you are able remove the blinders...

I think Dan said it very well. I feel the same way. I have several other brands and I enjoy wearing them as much as I do my Rolex. Even my bargain basement Orient (on my wrist as I type this). Sure, my Rolex is my favorite, and often my go to, but I like them all and I want to experience other brands just to see what they're like. That's the fun of this hobby to me.

I like cars too and run across this in that hobby as well. Some guys are Porsche guys, some are Corvette guys, etc. I'm a car guy. I like lots of stuff and don't want to limit myself.

Well said! I enjoy each one of mine too. It feels like Christmas each time I bring out one that I haven't worn in a while.
