Rolex Size for the Ladies question
Ok, from all the historical posts that I've searched on this forum regarding which Rolex size is the best for women, the two things that I can take away are:
1- Style and size is an individual choice, therefore, let your lady decide. 2- Even for women, the desired watch size is getting larger. I am going to take that collective advice from forum history. However, I want to also have a better understanding of this topic before walking in to the AD with my wife. With that said, what is the most popular size Rolex for a woman in her 30's? This will be her first Rolex. Thanks! |

I mean. wrist size does have something to do with it. My girlfriend is 95 pounds so she cant wear much ! haha. On an average or above average sized woman I feel a SS Daytona is a perfect size (40mm) but it wears smaller than Sub-C. Obviously this is very very personal and you should just ask your wife what she likes.

IMO, this is the most important part of the OP's post. She can make a decision based on what she likes, without all of the detailed, technical information most of us here enjoy.
When I was wanting to buy my wife a new Rolex for our anniversary, we went to several AD's. She tried on everything that appealed to her. She liked the DJ2 the best. Good luck! |

Traditional ladies size is less popular these days it appears.
Last year I bought my wife and daughter a 34mm Rolex 'Date' where my wife had previously worn a couople of ladies DJ over the last 30yrs. The 'new' size she hasn't looked back

My wife is tiny and loves the 36mm range. She initially had a 31mm and once she got her 36mm never wore it again.
I wish I would have asked her in the very beginning what her preference was. |

Chaps
Any man who choses a watch or even thinks he knows what watch size his wife would prefer is a complete idiot without any understanding of the female mind. I will have been married for 45 years this coming June and I learnt very quickly that women are more disconcerting than men and they know what they like far more than we do. This forum is littered and I mean littered with topics such as "should I buy a Sub or a GMT" etc and with that level of indecision, the same men seem keen to think they know what watch their wives would like to wear. Sorry chaps, you are barking up the wrong tree. Leave it to them to decide, they will thank you for it. Regards Mick |

I purchased a watch my wife beamed at once at the AD. She flipped it that week saying it was nice, but not something she would want to wear regularly. |

I can certainly concur with the poster above, surprise her with a brochure and a champagne limo ride to your AD then let her choose herself (within your budget!!).
Personally my wife chose a midsize datejust with black face and plain battons. She said that there was something inelegant about the proportions of the ladies size datejust and that they looked like they were trying too hard! |

Obviously I'm of the belief that the lady should decide for herself, as I stated originally above. Just trying to get a feel for what the rest of the world is doing, that's all. |
