Excited for tomorrow... And it's not because Basel!

Double Incoming!

Today is a weird day. As many of you know I have been an avid flipper and can't keep a watch as I'm always thinking about what is next

Well looking back there is one watch that drew me to Rolex and has always been my favorite. I found a full set and it's coming tomorrow

I also got a call from my watchmaker back in Oregon the other day letting me know he had a unique Chrono, and well that one is coming as well

As of yesterday I completely hit the reset button and I shipped out my last Automatic watch, which leaves my trusty Luminox on the wrist today and a double incoming tomorrow!

Has anyone else hit the reset button and gone from a collection to nothing to only a few?

All this to say I am finally feeling peace after a long journey of the what's next.... my wife is just praying that I keep at least one

Good luck with that.

I was once called the most prolific flipper on this site. Which is saying quite a bit.

I've genuinely gotten bored with it. That's not to say I don't move watches around, because I do.

But the frequency has changed dramatically.

Haha Seth I knew i would be hearing from you :) Ya you have gone through quite a lot, and quietly I've gone through 30 in the past two years myself. Probably not on your level, but enough to drive my wife nuts

I'm too far down the rabbit hole to contemplate such drastic actions.

I have no idea how many I have flipped.

No way I would even try and determine where I am at. I am not sure my heart could bear it.

The fact some of you have flipped so much makes me feel better on my flipping rate so far! 👍🏻

Flipping is a disease that this website breeds... I constantly want to go back to models I let go because I saw some amazing pictures on here on somebody else's wrist and say "that watch does look great".... Then the justification cycle begins :(

Haha, so funny story about the Luminox. When I got into higher end watches I picked up a pre owned 16610 when I was looking for a 16600. The shop didn't have a SD, so I settled with a Sub. Sold the sub to help fund a down payment on our first place. Well I picked up the Luminox at the shop I sold the Sub at.

When I made some money and moved up houses I picked up a SD and sold my Luminox. Missed the darn thing and spent three months finding the exact model with box, card and tags. $300 and it's never going anywhere! I've had it for quite a few years now and while it doesn't get much wrist time, it's a good reminder to stay humble and think of where I came from to where I am now
