The diagonal is stunning in person.

So a decision has been made and it's neither the PT DD40 Quadrant Roman nor Diagnonal Motif dial. The Quadrant dial that I was able to find last weekend was offered to me at a discount that I felt wasn't aggressive enough (the AD knew he had the only one in the GTA).

So I turned my sights toward a Platona, and one of the respected dealers here on TRF (Peter Lee) made it possibe for me to get into his mint Platona. We closed the deal this afternoon, and Peter assured me he will ship out my watch tomorrow. Come Thursday morning, I will be able to post a few wrist shots.

As mentioned in a previous thread, I have never warmed up to the brown cerachrome bezel. I am hoping after a few days on the wrist, it will change my mind. Will see.

Wow! Love the u-turn! Great choice (although all 3 watches are winners!) Congrats in advance! 🍻

The Platona is finally on the wrist! Love the weight, and the blue dial is much more lively in person. I also noticed the brown on the Cerachrome bezel is more like a chestnut brown, not dark brown as it appears in photos. A big thank you to Peter Lee for making this happen - he agreed to be my dance partner in a pretty huge trade to make this work.

Huge CONGRATS!!! This deserves its own incoming thread!

The brown bezel changes depending on the lighting. It's sweet!

Enjoy! 👏👏👏
