I think I need a doctor...

No, no...not for my health....no worries in that department; it's for my total loss of "watch drive"!!! (NOT to be confused with "sex drive").

That's right....in the past (especially in 2005), as you all know, I've been flipping and buying up new Rollies. Every time I'd pick up a new Rolex, I'd enjoy it for a few weeks and then start to crave for the next one...and so on and so forth.

Now...that craving has GONE!! ...ever since I acquired the 16610!!

I realise that I have TWO really fine timepieces - and another problem!! Yes, I am a TWO watch guy. When I had the TT YM, Exp-II and the Crosswind, I was not very comfortable.

The Crosswind was indeed a blessing in disguise. It taught me 3 things:
1. Uncomfortable with THREE watches.
2. Uncomfortable with Chronos and that stationary second hand.
3. Uncomfortable with anything other than a Rolex on my wrist.

So now...big question is what's next? I'll answer that: NOT INTERESTED!! Seriously, guys. That urge, that drive and that craving has vanished. So am I happy about this? YES!

Do I need a doctor? Don't answer that!

Let me answer the last question first - YES, you do. But no doctor in the world can help you with your problems. Just increase your dosage and you'll be marginally functional.

As for your protestations, so when is the next flip coming? Should be before your winter is done.

It sounds like Doctor Zemina has cured you of your flipping addiction with a healthy dose of threats and scaring the hell out of you

Now, several loooong sessions with James would benefit you, I'm sure

JJ, you must be lying to us. DId you not mention you took a trip to Mansor's just a few days ago to see what was new??
I know my memory is fading, but you can't fool us.
I have been told the a sign of addiction is DENIAL.
You've got it so bad, you trying to fool yourself. It's not working..
Your telling me, If a black sub Maxi Dial showed up as Mansors, you'd just let the next person buy it. I don't think so.

I had gone to Mansor's to get a battery replacement for my daughter's Baume & Mercier. So I looked, so what? If I'm in a watch shop, I am going to look at everything around me....that's right, including the cleavage. Doesn't mean a thing!

Wasn't quite as dramatic as that....but near enough! Actually, poor Zemina just says what she has to say ONCE....and means it!

Seriously, in my case all she said with a very straight and serious face....in a normal tone of voice was this:

""JJ, don't you think you now have 2 of the finest Rolexes you've wanted. You were so much after the Sub-date. You now have it. Hope you're happy. Please stop this selling and buying nonsense. It doesn't make sense any more. You've had your fun and thrills. Now it's time to save some money. You aren't exactly that young any more!"

I guess she meant what she said!

Great minds think alike! Every time our dear and well respected friend anounces he will never, ever, ever, ever again buy another watch or that these watches will stay on his wrist till the end of times we all just sit back to await the arrival of yet another watch
