Quick help with 16700 date wheel

Yousefsl "TRF" Member Join Date: May 2016 Location: UK Posts: 300	Quick help with 16700 date wheel Hi all I'm just at my local watch shop again and I'm looking at a 1989 Rolex 16700 Pepsi with serial number starting with L, is it normal that the date wheel is closed for this year as I thought it remained open until 1992/3 thanks again in advance.
