new air king or oyster perp 39

I have been posting more than ever lately bc I have a collection that is coming together, I have the ss black gmt2c and the sub 16610lv. 2 great watches, one has some color, one does not. One has pcl's, one does not. Both have the similar sport watch look.
I have the old daytona ss black on the way bc I have always wanted it and I can wait for the daytona c hype to settle down and I wanted to snag it if it is truly being discontinued and another watch with pcl's.
All that being said I have some disposable cash left over for watch number 4! I want this one to be simple and had pretty much settled on the oyster perp 39 w/ the blue dial, affordable, no pcl's, and not a black dial...but I have been looking at the new air king and its growing on me...no pcl's but another black dial.
Let me get some opinions, I have tried on many white dial watches but i am fair skinned and they dont look good imo. And i cant wait to post pics of all 4 when they are all in my possession.

Thanks

Op all day. I'd give the purple dial with sticks a look as well.

You need some color in your collection, dial color that is.

Sorry just not a fan of the new AK. I would go OP, exp or exp II black.

If that's the choice, the OP.

If it is OP vs AK then I say OP all the way. The AK does not crank my tractor, yet.

With the two that you have, and if it needs to be an SS Rolex, I would go for the blue OP as the third option in your trio.

Just don't love the dial choices on the new OP 39. Haven't seen the new AK in person and I have the previous version of the Explorer, my favorite.

The explorer, new or old, has never been on my whishing list. So my vote goes for the OP, blue, grape or rhodium dial. It's your choice.

OP over the AK for me. You mentioned not wanting another black dial watch but if you're considering the AK I'd give the Exp a good look.

OP I say. I thought I wanted the blue until I tried in the grey ( rhodium) dial. The blue is cool though... Let us know what you decide with pictures..

I'm gonna reserve complete judgement on the new Air King until I see one and strap it on my wrist though. Wait. I already said I hated it. Then again I hated the Skydweller at first too and it grew on me.

I didn't like the new air King from pictures, but quite liked it on the wrist! Although I think that was mainly down to the hefty case! With that said, my vote is for the OP with rhodium dial!

Between these two, I'd go with the new Air King.

The AK is too chunky in my opinion. OP39 all the way. It's my favorite

I love the simplicity of the OP39. Clean dial and classic look is the way to go.
