Quick update - since I'm only interested in the head (looking to wear this on a jubilee bracelet instead of oyster) - the price for the head has dropped after negotiations to USD 8k. I think that's fair, may just buy it....let's see. Have asked for caseback pics, which is the only thing I've not seen.

One more thing, it has open 6/9 but the date wheel is not silver but instead cream. Is that period correct/ok?

I think its a nice looking 16750.. I think a quality 16750 matte dial is harder to find than a quality 1675 as they were only produced for a few years unlike the 1675 which was produced over a larger period and more of them. Love the Gilt 1675 though :-))

Early 16750s had silver or silver-colored date wheels. Personally, I would worry less about a date wheel gear than other aspects of the watch.
