Thanks

I believe all stick dials are the ones with roulette.

Go here:

http://pics.r-l-x.de/picserv/files/3.../Dials1516.pdf

If you scroll to the 36mm Datejust section on page 36 you'll see that all dials that have an asterisk * are ones with the red/black date wheels.

Rolex DJ Roulette black/red date

Concentric dials also have roulette date wheels; my blue one has it.

Thanks for the info. My model on page 36 (white) have an asterisc. Maybe i should ask the AD. It is original because i bought it in the only AD in my country. but i dont know why it doesnt have that.

Im not mad that it doesnt have that, im just a little worry.

Sorry for my bad english

It is optional on some models, so maybe that's why yours don't have it.

.

Roulette date wheel was removed in master catalogs as being an option for smoothed bezel 116200 DateJust between 2011 and 2015. During this period it became reserved to Rolesor models only.

That just came back in the last Master Catalog , 2015/2016 , available since september 2015.

Your Watch was probably produced during this period.

Alpino - with random serial numbers occurring in same timeframe it would be impossible for us mere mortals to ever know what date wheel should be (or should have been) in DJs during that optional period. Do you know if Rolex tracks such a detail as "date wheel type" under each watch's s/n?

Maybe Rolex tracks that, but it's not for general public.

The best is to look the date on the warranty card or on the initial invoice.

Agreed this is the best way to identify the approximate age of the watch. Unfortunately for a change that has recently occurred, the date or invoice will be of little help because a watch could be siting in inventory with Rolex or an AD for quite some time before its sold.

True! My M serial Datejust is supposed to be around 2006 production, but was sold new in 2010 so apparently spent like 4 years on a display or vault waiting to be sold
