I don't like gold, so I would never get that sub, but that's just me. I have a diver and started with the trend that it's acceptable to wear with suits. I still do and it's fine, but it seems bulky and somewhat out of place to me now. It's not my only watch so I gravitate to other options in that case.

Finally, I love the white DJ2 and think it's under appreciated. I also really like the blue too and that would be my first choice, but then again that's just me. Like I said, absolutely nothing wrong the white.

Thanks for your comment and glad to get more insight around wearing the sub with suits, etc. I love the white and the blue DJ2, it's becoming a tough decision between those. White I feel is more clean and versatile whereas the blue can be dressed down more easily and I love the sunburst effect.

Go with the DatejustII White Dial. I recently purchased one in Tokyo and love it!

Reduce the difference by going smooth bezel on the DJII?

Not an easy decision to make.
Have you considered an all stainless steel DJ which may give you what you are looking for and I think wears well in all situations. Great value too!
Here's mine, a 1603DJ from 1968.

I got a Sub and longing for the very same DJ you are considering. But I think this situation is slightly better than having a DJ and longing for a sub.

I've had many sport rolexes and always come back to the clean classic white Roman on oyster braclet. Dressy, sporty, timeless

Both are wonderful and I'm sure you'll be happy either way but I also previously owned a Sub and I just never loved the look of it with my dressy business attire. Fast forward to today with my SS DJ and I love it, it goes with everything and fits nicely under a collared shirt when you want it to.

Visited the AD again today, definitely leaning towards the white dial. Good to know someone else out there is a fan!

Gorgeous watch! Yes, I checked out the silver dial DJ2 over the weekend.. I think I like the stark white contrast, however. Still haven't decided but silver isn't out of the picture

Thanks for the pic and I love the Roman numerals. It's good to see this color combination in more of a casual setting, too. White tends to look more formal and one of my concerns was how to dress it down.

This is what I was looking to hear... Thanks for the comment. Although the Sub-C is versatile, I still think the DJ2 achieves a more classy look with business attire. I would feel out of place wearing the Sub with a suit or even a sportcoat.

Congrats!
No wrong decision there. Something tells me you'll end up with both soon enough anyway!
