ROC time loss
Hi, I bought a pre owned AP ROC (25860) from an AD few months ago. I didn't receive any papers abt it's service history, so I assume it's not been serviced yet.
The watch loses more time than I expected - ~22 seconds per day. Is it normal? The watch also stopped running once when I had been wearing it everyday. AD did provide some warranty at the time of purchase. If I send it back to them, do they service it themselves or do they send the watch to AP (which I would prefer)? |

I probably would have asked about known service history at the time of purchase. Regardless, the 22 seconds per day is not normal at all. I believe AP standards are -3 to +2seconds per day. When you purchased did they state how would the warranty be honored. Some ADs have their own repair shops and others may have 3rd party vendors but I would ask them to send it to an AP service center. IF the watch was that off at the time of purchase === I would have returned it for a refund.
Did you buy from an AD in the SF bay area? |

Thanks for the detailed response. I bought it from a reputed AD in Philly. I was told I would have 15 month warranty from the time of purchase. I will reach out to them abt this issue. They have been great to work with so far.

AP would be first choice to service it but it will take long time and be expensive
Any reputable and knowledgeable watchmaker can service it, if parts are needed it cuuld get a little tougher But the F. Piguet movement is very reliable, most like service is all that is needed

Go back to the seller, the piece needs service. Warranty should cover this
