WR service no longer required for 3rd year warranty
just got off the phone with clearwater....AP now no longer requires timepieces to be sent in before 2 years is up to obtain the 3rd year warranty...this change just recently came into effect
apologies if someone has already mentioned this all that is required for the 3rd year warranty is that you register your watch online |

This is correct. I also spoke to someone at AP a few weeks ago who stated the same. Once the watch is registered online the 3rd year warranty is valid!

what i was also told however was that we can still send in our APs for the 'water resistance' service compliments of AP even though no longer required for the 3rd year warranty extension

does this apply to purchases within the last 2 years or only purchases that are made since the change?

I registered my watch online mid Jan 2016 I also called my local AD in Toronto and they verified what I was told from Clearwater. |

if you go to APs website now you will also find that it tells you to register the watch online to get the 3rd year warranty....no longer any mention of the water resistance service being required
i asked clearwater could i send the watch in if i wanted to for the WR service compliments of AP and she said yes as well but NOT necessary for the 3rd year warranty |

Great news. I missed sending my 15202 before the two year warranty period expired. Good to know I still get that extra year.
Thanks for the info! |

I was wondering why I haven't gotten stickers back after registering my last couple APs. Although I did try logging into their updated website just now and they have no record of my account. Really don't want to create a new account and re-enter my watches

IMHO I would still send it in, because I recently sent mine in for the 3rd year and they found that my chronograph was not working properly and the chrono module needed to be replaced. It was replaced under warranty and I was given an extra 2 year warranty. Honestly I would not have know on my own because I rarely use that function.
